The exhibition is made up of many posters arranged in two halls that recall the history of the Villaggio del Pescatore (Fishermen's Village) in chronological order. It starts 70 million years ago, when dinosaurs populated the area, as shown by the fossils found in the nearby quarry. It then goes on to the history of man, from caves through to Roman villas. The history of the twentieth century occupies great space, with testimonies as well as materials from World War I, and then with the history of the Istrian exiles who after World War II found their new home in this uninhabited bay. Many moments of this latter phase are documented including the construction of new homes, the first parties, the carnival and, especially, fishing.

The enthusiastic members of the Flondar speleological group opened their exhibition in 2007 with the support of the municipality Duino-Aurisina, which provided the spaces of the ancient fishery cooperative and the library. In addition to the visit to the exhibition, there are also interesting walks starting from the centre of the Villaggio del Pescatore to explore the surroundings and to experience the museum accounts first hand.
